Alastair Coey Architects lead a multi-disciplinary team, comprising a range of disciplines, to deliver all consultancy services associated with the Donaghadee Townscape Heritage Initiative Round 2 Submission for Ards Borough Council and Donaghadee Commerce and Development Group. The project required effective public and stakeholder engagement, the production of cost calculations for each project based on conservation deficit calculations. A detailed Conservation Area Appraisal and Conservation Area Management Plan was drafted, along with a detailed Economic Appraisal. Alastair Coey Architects was pleased to offer specific advice in relation to a key building without a use, relative to options for a way forward and the potential for generating additional funding which would ensure its future under the scheme and beyond. HLF funding in the region of £1M was awarded in November 2013.
