Blessingbourne is a Grade B+ listed large late-Victorian neo-Elizabethan house, built 1874, to designs by FP Cockrell. In 2005, Alastair Coey Architects were commissioned by the client to undertake a detailed condition survey and report on which to base a scheme of phased restoration to the existing fabric of the house and feasibility study examining internal remodelling. In 2008 commencing work included reslating of roofs and renewal of leadwork, stonework repairs, renewal of cast iron rainwater goods, window repair, internal remodelling including structural repairs to timber floors and upgrading of building services and thermal performance.
